Savory oatmeal

I would never think this day would come but I made a savory oatmeal and I totally loved it!


  • 1/2 cup of oats
  • 1 cup of cashew milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 sliced carrot
  • few shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 pak choi
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp mushroom soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ground flax seeds
  • spring onion
  • coriander
  • roasted peanuts

Combine oats, cashew milk and water in the sauce pan. Add sliced carrot and mushrooms. Cut pak choi in half. Chop one half in smaller pieces and add to the pan. Cook on low heat. Once the carrot is soft add soy sauce and flax seeds.
Heat up a pan and grill the other half of pak choi. Add a teaspoon of maple syrup to caramelize it.
Pour your oatmeal to a bowl. Top up with spring onion, coriander, roasted peanuts and pak choi.
