Sweet miso paste is one of my favorite ingredients. It goes well with sweet and savory meals. I like to combine it with tahini like in this sweet oatmeal.
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp sweet miso paste
- few chopped dates
- 2 tbsp vanilla protein powder (optional)
- half of banana, chopped
- tahini to top up
Cook your rice. You can use any rice you like: sweet rice, jasmine, basmati or brown rice. Sweet rice is definitely the best for puddings.
Put one cup of rice into the pan, add milk, chia seeds, dates, banana and protein powder. Cook on low heat until creamy.
In small bowl mix miso paste with a bit of milk. Once your porridge is ready, remove it from the stove and stir in miso mixture. Cooking miso will kill all good ingredients that’s why the best is to add it at the end.
Transfer your pudding to the bowl and drizzle with a lot of tahini. Top up with favorite fruits. I served mine with some crunchy pear and apple chips i made the other day.
