Chipotle burger patties

one of my favorite flavor is definitely smoky chipotle. once I get my hand on a jar of these I add them everywhere! this is how pictured burgers / patties were created. combined with adzuki beans and buckwheat groats giving them a hint of a nutty flavor. total win!

Ingredients:

  • 200 g cooked adzuki beans
  • 150 g cooked buckwheat
  • 3-4 canned smoked chipotle chilies
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds
  • 1 tbsp starch flour
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked pepper

Method:

Soak the adzuki beans overnight in water. On the next day cook until soft for about 30 min. Same time cook the buckwheat. If you have leftover rice or other grains you can replace the buckwheat (go less waste!).

Once you have all ingredients cooked, combine all in food processor and mix until smooth or leaving bigger chunks. Up to you!
Roll the burgers and bake in the oven for 25 min, flipping on the other side half way. You can also try frying on a pan.

I enjoyed mine with air fried sweet potato slices drizzled with tahini, good amount of greens and more chipotle sauce! They also taste great in buns as burgers!
