Turmeric oatmeal

Adding turmeric into your diet can boost your immunity. Remember to combine it with a pinch of pepper to activate it.


  • piece of fresh turmeric or 1 tsp of ground
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 50 g oats
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 150 ml plant milk
  • toppings: tahini, roasted almonds and citrus fruits


Grate a piece of fresh turmeric root. Heat up coconut oil in the pan, add turmeric and ground pepper. Fry few minutes.
Add your oats and stir for few 2 more minutes. Add your milk, chia seeds and milk.
If you use protein powder you might need to add more milk. If not you might add sweetener such maple syrup or mashed banana.
Cook on low heat until you reach desire consistency, string occasionally.
Transfer to a bowl and top up with tahini, roasted almonds and pieces of fresh citrus fruits. I used kumquat but oranges or mandarins will fit perfectly as well.
